I may have been called a tree hugger once or twice in my life, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that BLOOM plants a tree for every single order we receive through the Nature Conservancy's Plant A Billion Campaign. This is an initiative near and dear to my heart and one that I am committed to for a very long time (or a billion trees, whichever comes first).
Because in this day and age we must all do everything we can to protect the earth's resources, sustainability is at the core of what BLOOM stands for as a company. All of our containers are made of glass and are 100% recyclable and reusable; all of our packing materials are recyclable and/or compostable; and we use organic, non-GMO ingredients sourced from sustainable farms around the globe.
It is with great satisfaction that we are taking our sustainability up another notch with unique, handmade Ceramic POLISH Spoons. While our current wooden spoons (that come with POLISH, Daily Facial Sets and Essentials Kits) are compostable and biodegradable, they are still made from trees, so I have long searched for an alternative. Last summer, I became fast friends with Anne, artist and owner of Carnevale Clay (and future BLOOM Beauty Star). One evening at her home for dinner, Anne placed a bowl of sea salt on the table with a Carnevale salt spoon inside. The lightbulb went off and in a flurry, Anne agreed to make a batch of spoons to coordinate with our vibrant BLOOM labels. A couple of months later, the Ceramic POLISH Spoons were born and today, I proudly launch them in the BLOOM shop!

To celebrate our newest addition, we are giving away a Ceramic POLISH Spoon with every Daily Facial Set and Essentials Kit order through Friday, June 3rd - no promo code necessary! Going forward, you are able to purchase them on the BLOOM website for $10. Please just make a note in the comments section when you order POLISH, a Daily Facial Set or an Essentials Kit that you have a Ceramic POLISH Spoon and we'll save the wooden spoon (and the tree it came from!).
